The study showed that the effectiveness of red light therapy improved progressively over 1, 2, and 3 months of use in the following beauty measures, confirming that photobiomodulation (red light therapy) can reverse the visible signs of skin aging.
Anti-Wrinkle Effect
The depth of crow's feet wrinkles was measured, revealing a significant decrease of 15.6% after 28 days of mask use, 34.7% after 56 days, and 38.3% after 84 days.
Face Contour Relaxation
A significant reduction in sagging of the facial oval was observed, with a decrease of 5.4% after 28 days, 14.7% after 56 days, and 24.8% after 84 days.
Firmness and Elasticity
A significant decrease in the R0 value of 13.6% was noted after 28 days of mask use, 19.7% after 56 days, and 23.6% after 84 days. These decreases reflect a progressive increase in skin firmness.
Skin Density
Using ultrasound analysis, a significant increase in dermal density of 26.4% was observed after 28 days of mask use, 41% after 56 days, and 47.7% after 84 days.
Smoothness
A significant decrease in roughness of 6.8% was recorded after 28 days of mask use, 18.2% after 56 days, and 23.8% after 84 days. These decreases indicate a progressive increase in skin smoothness.

A 2016 study looked at 395 injuries amongst university athletes and the use of red/NIR light therapy. The average treatments per injury was 4.3 with a range of 2-6 treatments. The study included male and female participants aged between 30 and 65, all with mild to moderate osteoarthritis in the knees. Participants received light therapy twice weekly, alongside a placebo group that received the same treatment schedule.

Research suggests that light therapy could be an effective tool for those trying to conceive, as it appears to improve follicular health, which is particularly susceptible to oxidative stress. A study conducted in Denmark found that among 239 women who had previously failed to conceive through other interventions, 158 (66%) achieved pregnancy after completing six light therapy sessions over two weeks, prior to expected ovulation.
Many of these women had explored various avenues to achieve pregnancy, including diet, exercise, counselling, hormonal treatments, IVF, and ICSI, often without success. With the application of Red Light Therapy, two out of three women became pregnant, typically within one to three months.
Additionally, research indicates that the testes contain photoreceptors that respond to light, and exposure to a wavelength of 830 nm has been shown to improve sperm motility, thereby enhancing fertility.

UV is a form of electromagnetic radiation emitted from the sun that can be damaging. UV wavelengths are between 10 nm and 400 nm. The SOHL Red Light Therapy Pod does not contain any UV, only therapeutic red and near-infrared wavelengths between 630 nm and 850 nm.

In light of trying to reduce mental load we provide everything you need in studio including in sauna and post sauna towels, water, shampoo and conditioner. The only item you need to bring is a change of under garments.

For now, we do operate from a home based studio. This studio has a designated parking spot for you, a seperate access and an exclusive outdoor shower for your privacy.
As their is people living upstairs you may occasionally hear a noise. This will be rare but If this disturbs your session please let us know.
We do not have toilet access within our studio. However, we are just a 15-second drive or a 2-minute walk from the Mount Drury toilets. We have purposefully extended appointment times allow for this.
While we are considering upgrading our facilities in the future, we did not want the complexity of this issue to prevent us from providing these valuable therapies to our community.

Yes, there is a designated parking space directly in front of the studio. If you have an early or late appointment (before 7am or after 7pm) we ask that you park on the road to minimise disruption.
